How do I plan accessible wildlife and river outings in Brisbane?

One adult in our group uses a wheelchair. We have four days and would like animals, a ferry ride and perhaps an outing beyond the city. What should we verify before booking?

If you need a wheelchair-accessible taxi or hire vehicle, reserve it well ahead and give the operator the chair dimensions and transfer needs. Ask an island or wildlife operator directly about its vessel, ramps, toilets and any assistance required before buying tickets.

Start with Queensland's accessible Brisbane guide, then confirm the exact route and facilities with each attraction. CityCat ferries and many buses have accessible features, but the useful test is whether the stop, boarding point and destination all work for the chair being used.
