Can I still hold a koala near Brisbane?

I found an old forum recommendation for a koala-holding experience at Lone Pine. Is that still available, and what can I do instead?

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary stopped koala holds in July 2024. Its current koala experiences focus on seeing the animals close up and learning from the care team without holding them. Check the sanctuary’s own experience page before booking, since formats and availability can change.
