About Monsieur Chow

Mermaid Beach trades predictable dining for moody banquets, spiced margaritas, and vintage films flickering against brick. Low lighting sets the room for slow-braised wagyu cheek, Moreton Bay bug bao, and coal-roasted oysters glazed with house XO. Out back, classic cinema loops along the alleyway wall while tables share banquet plates and crisp drinks. Regulars lean into the smoky pad see ew noodles alongside sticky caramelised pork belly.

  • Alleyway Cinema: Tables in the alleyway catch classic vintage films projected directly onto the exposed brick wall.
  • Fresh Seafood XO: Coal-roasted oysters come brushed with house-made XO crafted from fresh seafood instead of dried elements.
  • Moody Date Nights: Dim lighting and shareable chef banquets pair naturally with spiced margaritas for evening dates and catch-ups.
