About Beenleigh Artisan Distillery

Operating along the Albert River as Australia’s oldest registered distillery, this historic red-brick outpost pairs craft rum with relaxed dining. Guided production tours wind past heritage equipment, followed by guided pours of aged spirits, house gin, and craft beer paddles. The airy dining room settles travelers midway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast over garlic pizza and truffle fries.

    We booked the tour and tasting and were all thoroughly impressed. Our tour guide was new but gave us plenty of information on the history of the distillery and the current processes used and then set up a great tasting of 5 different products.

    Pair house spirit flights with casual lunch dishes like freshly baked pizzas, arancini, and burgers in an open, relaxed venue setting.

    We came to sample the rums and liqueurs, stayed for lunch, and finished with a purchase of rum crush and rum and coke. Great service, friendly staff, and a worthwhile visit if you want to do some rum tasting and get a meal.
