Locals treat Basil & Vine as their neighborhood Italian refuge—a warm room of candlelit tables, winter blankets, and generous bowls of pasta. The floor team runs on genuine hospitality, pacing dinners smoothly whether managing dietary requests ahead of time or handling birthdays. Upstairs in the mezzanine, group parties spread out without the usual administrative friction, down to letting individual guests split their bill at the counter. Plates hit the table fast and hot: garlic butter prawns, classic pizzas, and saucy bowls of IL Marco pasta. The pastry cabinet pulls its weight for dessert, serving up cinnamon dippy doughs alongside slices of tiramisu and plates of pear and fig crepes.

    even before we came I had a call from Sam the duty manager to arrange a special meal for one of us as they had to have certain foods and avoid others. This was above and beyond what we expected. Sam reassured me that he would work with the chef and make something that could be enjoyed.
