About Chinese Holiday Restaurant

A Bulcock Street fixture for over forty years, this classic Australian-Chinese dining room serves sizzling hotplates and giant king prawns under drapey lanterns. Regulars come for the generous plates of ginger shallot prawns, tender Mongolian lamb, and fried rice before catching a show nearby. Hands-on owners still patrol the floor, sending out deep-fried ice cream and complimentary fortune cookies at the finish.
