About Gastronome European Deli

This Capalaba outpost doubles as a Slavic cafe and an import grocery, serving comforting hot plates alongside hard-to-find European staples. Locals drop by for Hungarian goulash, beef piroshki, and sweet slices of Medovik—or linger over coffee while playing a round on the cafe's tabletop chess board. Shelves and freezers stay stocked with frozen pelmeni, Baltic preserves, regional cheeses, and Georgian wines.

  • Cafe and continental deli under one roof: Dine in for hot borscht, Hungarian goulash, and piroshki, then browse grocery aisles stocked with frozen dumplings, regional cheeses, and specialty wines.
  • Tabletop chess and cafe leisure: Dining tables come equipped with wooden chess boards, inviting visitors to unwind over coffee and handmade slices of Medovik.
