Tucked inside an Auchenflower colonial cottage, Haig Rd. Bistro serves classic French cooking without a hint of white-tablecloth pretension. Front-of-house host Arvid guides the floor with genuine warmth—trading menu history, pouring French vintages, and making group milestones feel like family dinners. Regulars know the drill: start with sizzling escargots drenched in garlic-herb butter or a crisp tarte flambée, then move to duck breast or eye fillet finished with rich pan jus. Twice a month, the kitchen pivots to its daytime Sunday Shucks & Sips for fresh oysters and champagne. Wrap things up with crêpes Suzette spooned straight from the hot pan.
