About Steel & Grind

Tucked down an alley off Logan Road, Steel & Grind pairs delicate sweet and savoury crêpes with expertly pulled coffee in an intimate, moody hideaway. Locals bypass the standard cafe bustle for a seat along the darker interior benches or sunlit outdoor tables. Rather than heavy morning toast, the kitchen folds made-to-order batter around savoury fillings like Dijon chicken and melted cheese, alongside classic lemon and sugar. Come dusk, the daytime counter gives way to a back-room cave bar pouring craft beers and shaken cocktails.

  • Made-to-order crêpes: Thin, made-to-order batters folded around savoury combinations like Dijon chicken or sweet classics like lemon and sugar.
  • Moody laneway retreat: A darker, intimate laneway setting featuring indoor bench seats and sheltered outdoor spots for dogs and kids.
  • Daytime cafe to night bar: Morning espresso transitions into evening craft pours, including local stouts and cocktails from the back bar.
