About Arhibu Restaurant

Tear into spongy injera and scoop slow-simmered stews at Moorooka's Arhibu Restaurant, a subterranean spot built for communal dining. Head down the arcade stairs to find massive shared platters loaded with rich doro wat, tender spiced meats, and vibrant vegetarian options. Cutlery stays off the table—you eat by hand, mopping up every drop of spiced sauce with sour flatbread. Cap the feast with freshly brewed buna poured hot from a clay jebena alongside bowls of popcorn.

  • Communal Injera Platters: Large communal platters come lined with spongy, sour fermented flatbread designed to tear and scoop stews by hand.
  • Traditional Coffee Ceremony: Freshly roasted coffee brews in a clay jebena pot, presented alongside aromatic incense and bowls of popcorn.

Diners can sample up to four distinct meat and vegetable options on a single platter, with warm hospitality ensuring extra injera to scoop every drop.

I recommend the meat combination for one person while u can try four different dishes at one time.

  • Traditional Clay Pot Buna Ritual

Arhibu serves traditional Buna prepared with freshly roasted beans and brewed in a clay jebena, presented with aromatic burning incense.

The Buna…. includes incense and you get your own Gebena to serve coffee, which was a fun.
