Tucked right against the Flaxton canopy, this hinterland retreat pairs forest air with effortless, deckside dining. Locals drop by straight off the Kondalilla Falls trail—trading hiking boots for cold beer, housemade gelato, or freshly baked scones. Settle under the timber awning as native birds sweep through the trees, while the kitchen delivers crispy skinned barramundi, Mooloolaba prawns, and fragrant laksa. Come winter, fleece blankets and an open fireplace keep the evening going over glasses of pinot gris and warm desserts.

    We spent 5pm - 8pm out on the deck so we got to experience the atmosphere during daylight, sunset and at night and its absolutely gorgeous with terrific views and great lighting and light music.

    Located right by the national park track, casual walkers are welcomed immediately after circuit hikes for chilled gelato and attentive hospitality.

    The first was after we completed the Kondalilla Falls circuit; we were hot and looking for something to cool us down… they had gelato on the menu so we made our way up the stairs and were greeted by a lovely gentleman who was more than happy to seat us out on the deck and treated us with the utmost care even though we were only there for gelato.

    Popped in for morning tea after doing the falls walk. What a treat, we were greeted by a great view and very friendly and attentive staff. This little gem serves fresh made scones (about 15min wait was well worth it).
