About Kopitalk Malaysian Restaurant & Functions

Tucked inside Ferny Avenue, this family-run spot brings genuine Malaysian street plates and 100% halal cooking to Surfers Paradise. The kitchen delivers proper Nasi Kandar alongside wok-tossed Mee Goreng carrying unmistakable wok hei. Golden Ayam Goreng Berempah comes crisp and juicy, paired with fragrant, fiery sambal belacan. If the kitchen's balanced baseline is too mild, grab the glass jars of whole green chilli padi to calibrate your own heat. Guests can browse a house book collection over Ipoh white coffee, or stop in over the weekend when the kitchen switches to a sprawling curry and kueh buffet.

  • Weekend Malaysian Buffet: Weekend lunches and dinners feature an all-you-can-eat spread of traditional curries, ayam masak merah, and sweet kueh.
  • Tableside Chilli Padi: Glass jars of fresh bird's eye chilies sit ready on tables so heat-seekers can tune mild curry gravies to Penang levels.
  • Books & Board Games: Spacious indoor and outdoor seating includes an on-site library of books and chess boards for unhurried meals.
