Tucked along the Redcliffe foreshore, La Lanterna delivers authentic Ligurian cooking rooted in scratch-made regional craft. Expect paper-thin focaccia brushed with garlic and oil, melt-in-the-mouth gnocchi, and tender baby octopus alongside rich pappardelle all'anatra. Diners consistently single out the kitchen’s dedicated gluten-free fresh pasta—made on-site with the same care as standard doughs—as well as unhurried multi-course banquets served out in the vine-draped rear garden. Strong Italian reds round out the blackboard, right down to the lemon in bed dessert.
- Ligurian & Genovese Focus: Focuses on coastal Ligurian and Genovese recipes, serving house-made thin focaccia, farinata, and whitebait fritters alongside slow-simmered duck ragu.
- Scratch-Made & Coeliac-Safe Pasta: Fresh pastas, breads, and sauces are rolled on the premises daily, including custom scratch-made pasta dishes for coeliac diners.
- Paced Multi-Course Feasts: Multi-course tastings like the Genoa banquet deliver paced spreads of shared antipasti, handmade pastas, and dessert in the rustic rear garden.
