Perched beside the Sherwood football grounds, this leafy gastropub pairs breezy suburban calm with serious comfort cooking. Grab a table outside for an arvo drink while kids roam the open oval—it feels miles from the city, yet sits right in Chelmer. Mornings turn out Veneziano coffee alongside soft poached eggs and breakfast tacos, before giving way to steak and generous plates of pub staples. In the back, an independent function wing takes on milestone celebrations with a private bar, stage, and doors opening straight into the fresh air.

    It has a dedicated bar & the room has doors that open to an outdoor space. There is a stage for a band or presentations & room for a dance floor.

    The venue provides end-to-end setup and audio support, catering smoothly for groups of up to 80 guests.

    We hosted a 50th birthday party with about 80 people in the function room. The service, food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent. We also had a band play for the evening and the Fair Play Kitchen team were great assisting with the band's setup and audio requirements.

    both dishes comprised top quality ingredients and the food was cooked to perfection. The coffee was good, too. We plan to return sometime soon to this great value-for-money gastropub.

    The menu is full of both 'old favourites' plus fresh and tasty new options. The serves were all huge with 2 of our party of 5 struggling to finish their meals just on the size of the meals. Good range of craft beers and wines.
