Climb the stairs on Ann Street and you step into a plush, carpeted throwback—white tablecloths, greeting tanks swimming with lobster and mud crab, and calm acoustics that let a table actually talk. Regulars skip the search for circulating carts; every order of prawn dumplings and wok-tossed hor fan arrives made to order, piping hot from the kitchen. Private dining rooms easily take on ten to sixteen guests over crisp turnip cakes, roast duck, and whole steamed fish.
