Perched in the Gold Coast hinterland, this sprawling country roadhouse pairs low-and-slow barbecue pit cooking with an open-air beer garden. Patrons bypass standard counter queues for the outdoor kitchen, where an enormous offset smoker delivers sliced brisket, racks of pork ribs, and smoked lamb shanks alongside frosty pints. The roomy layout trades poker machines for open lawns and a children's play space, giving large family catch-ups breathing room while live acoustic sets drift across the timber benches. Weeknight crowds pack the floorboards under strung lights for boot-scooting lessons and country tunes. Plates emerge stacked with tender burnt ends, links, and spicy charred corn on the cob.
